Old Clothes Get New Lives!

Swap-o-Rama-Rama… have you heard of it?  The name itself is enough to get you interested, no?

Founded back in 2005 by out-of-the-box thinker Wendy Tremayne, this nation wide event is held year long in cities all over the place, and all you have to bring to get in is a bag of old clothes (and lots of creative spirit!).  The clothing of everyone who attends is put together in a big pile, then you dive in to find new threads you like, then move over to a station full of sewing machines, beads, zippers and accessories to create your own outfits or bags with the help of on-sight seamstresses and local artists.

The underlying idea of a Swap-o-Rama-Rama session is to utilize the existing surplus of clothing to create new-recycled goods, without consuming raw materials!  Have a great time and feel good about it too.
